My fittings are the best quality fittings you can buy and are made in the United States. These look the same as the previous 1/4" aluminum backflow test fittings except the color is darker, but that's were it stops as the Hard Anodizing absorbs into the Aluminum and creates a surface that is only second to diamond in hardness.
There is no reason to spend the extra money on brass fittings. These should out wear the brass fittings at less cost and less weight plus the color makes them easier to see so your less likely to leave them behind.
Also my new fittings have a larger O-ring as you can see in the photo and a recessed groove in the fitting for the o-ring to sit in which makes sealing easier. The space capsules are made out of aluminum that is not much thicker than a piece of paper to save weight. To give them the strength they need for takeoff and reentry they hard anodize the aluminum.

I am the original designer of the quick test fittings and worked to improve them through the years. The other companies are still using the original design that they copied from me. The hard anodizing creates a surface that is second only to diamond in hardness. They look similar to the regular anodized fittings but are darker in color. I have also increased the size of the o-ring and added a recessed shoulder for the o-ring. It really makes them seal a lot easier. Made in the United States.

They look similar to the regular anodized fittings but are a darker green in color. They have been redesigned to use a larger o-ring which is recessed and allows them to seal easier. The hard anodizing should wear better than brass and 1/2 the weight of the brass backflow test fittings.

My new fittings also have a larger O-ring that makes sealing easier and a recessed groove for the o- ring to seal on. They are in a polyurethene holder. Made in the United States which allows me to keep control of the quality of the fittings. The holder helps to keep you from leaving them at a job site as you can see your missing something right away with the blank holes and helps to protect
them. Rolling around in your tool box or pocket is very hard on the threads and usually leads to wearing out much faster. Most testers don't have to replace the fittings if they are kept in the holder.
